Edition 2025 — Conversazioni sul Futuro

The 12th edition of Conversazioni sul Futuro took place in Lecce from Wednesday, October 15 to Sunday, October 19, 2025: about ninety events and over 160 Italian and international guests featuring talks, book presentations, monologues, concerts, screenings, and workshops, distributed across the various venues of the Salento historic center.

The 2025 edition in Lecce

The twelfth edition of Conversazioni sul Futuro brought Lecce to life from October 15 to 19, 2025 with about 90 events and over 160 Italian and international guests. The inauguration, on Wednesday, October 15 at DB D'Essai, featured Luca De Biase presenting Apologia del futuro, followed by the multimedia monologue on migration Il secolo è mobile by Gabriele Del Grande.

International guests included Pulitzer Prize winner Nathan Thrall, journalist and analyst Anna Zafesova, Sevgil Musaieva (director of Ukrainska Pravda), Afghan artist Moshtari Hilal, and activist Emma Holten; Italian participants included Oscar Farinetti, Paola Caridi, Riccardo Luna, Alessandro Aresu, and Giuseppe Remuzzi. The meetings were held at Officine Cantelmo, Teatro Paisiello, Convitto Palmieri, Biblioteca Bernardini, Complesso degli Agostiniani, and Castello Carlo V, confirming the diffused and civic vocation of the Puglian festival.

Programme

Five days of talks on current affairs, geopolitics, rights, and science, book presentations, monologues and theatrical performances, evening concerts, screenings, and workshops for schools and families, in the various venues of Lecce's historic center.

Highlights

Opening with Luca De Biase and the monologue 'Il secolo è mobile' by Gabriele Del Grande; guest Pulitzer Prize winner Nathan Thrall; over 160 guests in about 90 events.
