Contignano Medieval Festival 2025

The 2025 edition was held on Saturday, July 5, in Piazza del Castello in Contignano, a village of Radicofani (Siena), organized by the Pro Loco in collaboration with the Contrada Castello di Contignano and under the patronage of the Municipality of Radicofani.

The evening opened at 6:00 PM with a historical lecture on the theme "Crimes and punishments between local statutes and the Malleus Maleficarum," with contributions from historian and journalist Fabio Marco Fabbri and Rosanna Rosatelli, professor of History of Medicine at La Sapienza University of Rome. Following this, the Grand Medieval Banquet featured a menu inspired by ancient recipes, enriched with seasonal fruit.

The square was brought to life by performances from the groups Duellatorum and Alchimia, with jesters' acts, buffoonery, juggling, and acrobatics. The dinner, by reservation, cost approximately 32 euros per person.
