Contest of the Polenta Well

The 44th edition of the Contesa del Pozzo della Polenta was held in Corinaldo (Ancona) on June 21 and 22, 2025. Saturday opened with the military encampment, archery demonstrations, and artisans at work from the late afternoon, followed by the historical procession and the re-enactment of the flour sack falling into the well, the evening theater show, and flaming arrows.

On Sunday, historical processions departed from the Municipal Theater and the Town Hall, culminating in the Palio degli Arcieri and the proclamation of the winning district, followed by the ducal dinner and circus arts performances. Throughout the weekend, taverns, creative spaces for children (Ludus), and the tug-of-war challenge between districts animated the village.
