Contemporary Poetry Festival

The first edition of the Contemporary Poetry Festival of Ascoli Satriano marked the birth of a festival entirely dedicated to poetry in the Monti Dauni territory. Inaugurated on June 5, 2025, with the presentation of the volume "Cimento. Poesie del salto" by Stefania Poveromo, the event offered about twenty events distributed between July, August, and September, and continued in the following months.

Guests included poets and authors such as Nicola Scapecchi, who starred in an evening in July, and poets Bernardo Pacini and Laura Recanati. On August 8, 2025, the setting of the Poetry Library Park hosted a concert of original music and a poetry slam with the pop-folk duo "Madame Butterfly and Mr Bear". The season also accompanied the "City of Ascoli Satriano" Poetry Competition, with its first edition dedicated to unpublished manuscripts.

Artistically directed by Enzo Lamartora and promoted by the Municipality of Ascoli Satriano (province of Foggia, Puglia), the festival confirmed the vocation of the "Nicola Crocetti" Library as a point of reference for contemporary poetry in Southern Italy.
