Commemoration of the Via Fani Massacre (Abduction of Aldo Moro)

The 47th anniversary

The 2025 edition of the commemoration was held on Sunday, March 16th, in front of the plaque on Via Mario Fani, at the corner of Via Stresa, in the Trionfale district of Rome. The ceremony followed the usual procedure: laying of the laurel wreath, reflection, and honors paid to the five men of Aldo Moro's security detail who fell on March 16, 1978.

City authorities, representatives of law enforcement, and family members of the victims took part in the commemoration. On the same day, ceremonies and moments of remembrance were held in various Italian locations, particularly in the hometowns of the fallen, confirming the national character of this date.
