Edition 2025 — Cima Grappa Ceremony

In 2025, on the first Sunday of August, thousands of people took part in the pilgrimage of the Venetian people to the Military Shrine of Cima Grappa, with Holy Mass at the Madonnina del Grappa shrine and the presence of civil, military, and religious authorities, in memory of the fallen soldiers of the Great War.

The 2025 edition of the Commemoration at the Military Shrine of Cima Grappa renewed, on the first Sunday of August, the tradition unbroken since 1901 of the pilgrimage of the Venetian people to the Sacred Mountain to the Fatherland. The ceremony, with its civil, religious, and military character, saw Holy Mass at the Shrine of the Madonnina del Grappa, the laying of wreaths, and the participation of authorities and representatives from the provinces of Treviso, Vicenza, and Belluno, in a moment of remembrance, prayer, and peace dedicated to the nearly 23,000 fallen soldiers buried in the Shrine.

Programme

The day included the pilgrimage and gathering at the Shrine, Holy Mass at the Madonnina del Grappa, the laying of wreaths and honors to the fallen, with speeches by civil, military, and religious authorities from the three provinces.
