Comedy Film Fest

The fourth edition of the Comedy Film Fest was held in Maruggio and Campomarino (Taranto) from July 18 to 20, 2025, under the general direction of Dario Pinelli and the artistic direction of Maximilian Law. The closing Grand Gala exceeded 4,000 spectators.

Guest of honor Giancarlo Giannini was celebrated on the 50th anniversary of Pasqualino Settebellezze, alongside Alvaro Vitali, who was honored with a screening of Viva la Vita. The Fronda d'Oro was awarded, among others, to Giancarlo Giannini, director Valerio Manisi, breast specialist Luigi Manca, and former footballer Fabrizio Miccoli. Among the awarded films were L'ultima settimana di settembre by Gianni De Blasi and Non aprite quella bara by Matteo Querci as Comedy of the Year, and I, Lina by Luana Lou Fanelli as best short film. Screenings and meetings took place between Piazza del Popolo, Corso Umberto I, and the Giardini Caniglia, with free admission.

July 18 — Opening, red carpet in Piazza del Popolo, masterclass, and tribute to Giancarlo Giannini on the 50th anniversary of Pasqualino Settebellezze.

July 19 — Tribute to Alvaro Vitali with the screening of Viva la Vita, rendezvous with Italian cinema guests, and screenings of competing films.

July 20 — Final Grand Gala with the Fronda d'Oro award ceremony and presentation of merit plaques.
