Comacchio Carnival on the Water

The 2025 edition of the Comacchio Carnival on the Water, the twelfth of its kind, took place on Sundays, February 23rd and March 2nd, in the historic center of the lagoon city in the province of Ferrara. From the morning, starting at 10:30 AM in Piazzetta Trepponti, children from the Comacchio Comprehensive Institute paraded in costume, followed by the award ceremony for the groups parading on the stage in Via XX Settembre.

From 1:15 PM, the crews and themes of the allegorical boats were presented, and from 2:00 PM, they began their parade on the canals along with dance schools and masked groups. At the end of the event, three allegorical boats were awarded prizes: the overall winner, chosen by the jury for originality, festivity, and costumes, received the Forcola, the symbol of the Comacchio Carnival. The awards ceremony took place at 6:00 PM in Piazzetta Trepponti.
