Civitellese Carnival

64th edition — March 2, 2025

The 64th edition of the Civitellese Carnival took place on Sunday, March 2, 2025, starting in the early afternoon in Piazza Matteotti. As tradition dictates, from the morning the town came alive in conjunction with the weekly market, with a refreshment point offering fried piadina, cured meats, mulled wine, and typical sweets.

The protagonists of the day were eleven masked groups, with parades and entertainment that involved Piazza Matteotti, Piazza Giordano Bruno, and the fortress area. The festival was accompanied by the itinerant music of the band Brass to House, confirming the character of a great public festival that has distinguished the carnival of Civitella di Romagna, in Emilia-Romagna, for decades.
