Civitas Infernalis 2025 — The Utopia of Creation

The eleventh edition of Civitas Infernalis enlivened the historic center of Sarteano from July 24 to 27, 2025, with the theme "The Utopia of Creation", a reflection on the act of creation as a gesture of responsibility, desire, and transformation. The artistic direction was entrusted to the Compagnia Teatrale Accademia Creativa.

Thursday the 24th opened with a rock concert by Malahora 2.0 at Parco Mazzini, accompanied by street food. Friday the 25th featured the historical dinner "A tavola con i Capitani" with the protagonists of the Giostra del Saracino in costume. Saturday the 26th, the highlight day, saw roaming performances, aerial dance, live music, the Smilf Street Band, the puppet show "La Recicleta", soap bubbles, and the "Prometheus" finale with fire, aerial dance, and stilt walkers. Sunday the 27th featured a craft market until midnight, juggling, magic, optical illusions, body painting, and a final fire show.

A free-entry event organized by the Associazione Giostra del Saracino with the patronage of the Municipality of Sarteano and the Tuscany Region, with a special focus on environmental sustainability.
