Edition 2025 — Città del Libro
The twenty-fourth edition of Città del Libro chose as its guiding thread the relationship between music and literature, recalled by the verse "… si muove la città" taken from La sera dei miracoli by Lucio Dalla. The festival opened on Saturday, April 26, at the Cineteatro Excelsior - Carmelo Bene with a musical performance by the Salento singer-songwriter Antonio Maggio, winner of Sanremo Giovani in 2013, and closed on Thursday, May 1, with a talk by the philosopher Umberto Galimberti on "Children, parents, and education in feelings."
Among the guests of the six days were Erica Mou, Piero Dorfles, Mario Capanna, Toni Capuozzo, and Federico Palmaroli, in addition to the national preview of the book on the life of Lucio Battisti written by Massimo Donà. The program alternated between meetings with national and local authors, musical moments, exhibitions, shows, workshops, debates, screenings, guided tours, and temporary shops, confirming the popular and widespread vocation of the Campi Salentina event.
