Carnival 2025: A Thousand and One Fairy Tales

The 2025 edition of the Cisternino Community Carnival, in the province of Brindisi, was dedicated to the theme "A Thousand and One Fairy Tales!". Eight allegorical floats, built by schools, associations, and local groups, reinterpreted the most famous fairy tales, from Alice in Wonderland to The Wizard of Oz, from Cinderella to 101 Dalmatians.

On Sunday, March 2, the festival opened in Piazza Garibaldi with a concert by the 'Vitino Zizzi' Wind Orchestra, a food area in Piazza Marconi, and shows along Corso Umberto. On Tuesday, March 4, after gathering at the Salesian Institute, the awards ceremony took place in Piazza Pellegrino Rossi, followed by the traditional Trial of Carnival. Due to bad weather, the float parade was rescheduled for Sunday, March 9. The free event was enriched by masked balls for children and side activities throughout the Valle d'Itria village.
