Circonauta 2025 — 11th edition, "Air"

The eleventh edition of Circonauta was held in Nardò, in the province of Lecce, from 4 to 13 July 2025. The chosen theme was "Air", the first chapter of the eco-conscious triptych "Re-thinking the planet": air as a symbol of breath, lightness, freedom, and transformation served as the common thread for the programming.

The historic centre and the natural spaces of the territory hosted contemporary circus shows, site-specific performances, immersive installations, workshops, and meetings for all ages. Among the featured artists and companies: Anatoli Akerman (Israel), the Belgian company Doblemandoble, the French group Les quat' fers en l'air, the Spanish group El Cruce, the Italian Matteo Galbusera, Duo Padella, and the Belgian group Acrocinus.

The evening music section "I Canti delle Sirene e dei Tritoni" accompanied the festival nights with live concerts, confirming Nardò as a summer landmark for contemporary circus in Salento.
