Edition 2025 — Ciottorino Fair

In 2025, the Ciottorino Fair once again enlivened Old Viareggio throughout March, confirming its role as a spring event dedicated to children and families. Amidst the artisanal terracotta stalls, typical products, and creative workshops around the Torre Matilde, the event concluded with the Spring Festivals and the awarding of the Golden Ciottorino on the feast day of the SS. Annunziata.

The 2025 edition of the Ciottorino Fair took place in Viareggio during the month of March, in the historic heart of Old Viareggio around the Torre Matilde, in the province of Lucca. As per tradition, the neighborhood was filled with stalls selling artisanal terracotta, traditional pre-Easter products, books, and sweets.

Local school children participated in creative workshops to paint ciottorini, which were then displayed for the duration of the event. The fair concluded with the Spring Festivals and, on the day of the SS. Annunziata patronal feast, with the awarding of the Golden Ciottorino and the school painting competition prize-giving.
