Edition 2025 — Cinema under the Stars
The first edition, in the summer of 2025
In 2025, the Liberi e Forti association, together with the Cineteatro Eduardo De Filippo and with the patronage of the Municipality of Agropoli, gave life to the first edition of Cinema under the Stars, choosing the moat of the Angioino-Aragonese Castle as the venue, in the historic center of the city in the province of Salerno.
The stated goal was to recover a tradition of Agropoli's summers in the 1960s, when open-air screenings were a collective ritual, which had then disappeared for years. The public's response confirmed the intuition: the positive reception of the first edition convinced the organizers and the administration to permanently include the festival in the city's summer calendar, paving the way for the second edition in 2026, expanded with guests from the world of cinema and an evening dedicated to short films by young local directors.
