Cinema d'iDEA – Women's International Film Festival

9th Edition, between poetry and documentary

The 2025 edition of Cinema d'iDEA brought a week of screenings dedicated to the female gaze on the world to Rome, in the Lazio region. The opening nights, on June 9th and 10th, featured Palestinian poetry readings interpreted by actresses and accompanied by the live music of composer Tiziano Novelli.

The program alternated between four feature films in competition, twelve short films, three workshops with international directors, and a round table on the relationship between cinema and social transformation. The closing night on June 15th hosted the Palestinian short film « Blood Like Water » and the extended version of the documentary « The Other – The New Cut », in addition to the awards ceremony. Evening screenings began at 8:30 PM, with special events starting at 6:00 PM, all with free admission until capacity was reached.
