Cinema City 2025 – 7th Edition
From July 1 to 7, 2025, Piazza del Parlamento in Palermo returned to host Cinema City for its seventh edition, under the artistic direction of Carmelo Galati and organized by the Wilder Association. Seven evenings of free screenings under the stars, dedicated to contemporary cinema and auteur short films.
The festival opened on Tuesday, July 1, with the short film Un Figlio and the feature film Il padre d'Italia by Fabio Mollo; among the titles, Delta by Michele Vannucci, introduced by the Palermitan actor Luigi Lo Cascio. Also on the program were award-winning short films such as L'ultimo spegne la luce by Tommaso Santambrogio, winner of the 2025 David di Donatello for best short film. The evenings were accompanied by meetings with directors, authors, and film professionals.
