Edition 2025 — Ciminna Corto Fest

The third edition of the Ciminna Corto Fest took place on November 28 and 29, 2025, in the Municipality of Ciminna, Province of Palermo. The competition was won by the short film "Eroi" by young director Caterina Baglio, while the Gattopardo-Luchino Visconti Award went to director Gianni Amelio, who also participated in a masterclass and a public debate.

The third edition of the Ciminna Corto Fest was held on November 28 and 29, 2025, in Ciminna, Province of Palermo, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and the European Union.

The first prize of the competition was awarded to the short film "Eroi" by Caterina Baglio. Among the special awards, Best Screenplay went to "Il contratto maledetto" by Alberto de Luca, and Best Cinematography to "Tits don't cry" by Anna Coccoli. The school section was won by the D'Alessandro Institute of Bagheria for "Metafisica".

A central moment of the festival was the presentation of the Gattopardo-Luchino Visconti Award to director Gianni Amelio, accompanied by a masterclass and the screening of some of his works. The jury was chaired by Ivan Scinardo, director of the Experimental Centre of Cinematography.

Programme

Screening of "The Lord of the Ants" and debate with Gianni Amelio; documentary on "The Leopard" dedicated to Claudia Cardinale; presentation of the Gattopardo-Luchino Visconti Award; masterclass with Gianni Amelio and screening of "Open Doors"; awards ceremony for the winning short films.
