CIG – Nichelino Youth Chess Tournament

The 2025 edition of the youth tournament organized by the Associazione Scacchi Nichelino was an absolute success. With 96 participants, the event reached a number of entries likely unprecedented for an Under-18 national championship qualifying tournament, forcing organizers to limit registrations. The young chess players were divided into four groups by age (Under 8-10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16-18). Amidst great fun and several high-level challenges, the tournament awarded qualifications for the national phase of the Italian Youth Championship, confirming Nichelino as one of the most vibrant centers for youth chess in Piedmont.
