CicerchiaFest 2025, the eighth edition

From February 21 to 23, 2025, the village of Licodia Eubea celebrated the eighth edition of CicerchiaFest, an open-air festival dedicated to the Iblei chickling vetch. The event, organized by the Strade degli Iblei Association with the Slow Food Community and Slow Food Sicily (led by president Flavio Aliotta), intertwined taste, culture, and entertainment.

Friday opened with the craft market in Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII, a conference at the Teatro della Legalità, the first taste workshops, and the "StoriaOScena" show. Saturday featured guided excursions in the village, an oil tasting with APO Catania, a round table on biodiversity and inland areas, the Sinfonica StreetBand, and live concerts leading up to the evening DJ set. Sunday included e-bike tours with Officina Agricolturale Cafeci, the "Cheese and Tradition" workshop with ONAF, the Scuola Popolare Sambazita, and street circus shows "Vuala" and "Ramingo Solo Show", closing with the "Archinuè" concert.
