Edition 2025 — Cibus Uxenti

The seventh edition of Cibus Uxenti took place in August 2025 in the ancient village of Ugento. As per tradition, Via Salentina and the courtyards of the historic center turned into a time machine with about 150 costumed performers who recreated scenes of life, crafts, and traditions of the Ugento people of the early 20th century, amidst tastings, wine, nursery rhymes, and pizzica.

The 7th edition of Cibus Uxenti was held in August 2025 in the ancient village of Ugento, confirming its status as one of the most anticipated events of the Salento summer. Along Via Salentina and among the ancient courtyards of the historic center, about 150 costumed performers brought a guided and theatrical tour to life, reproducing scenes of daily life, crafts, and traditions from the first half of the 20th century.

Visitors were able to enjoy tastings of typical products accompanied by local wine, watch performances of pizzica and folk music, and visit the craft market. The event, organized by the Pro Loco Ugento e Marine, reaffirmed its character as an Eco Festa promoted by the Puglia Region.
