Christmas Market and Padellaccia Festival

The 2025 edition

On December 8, 2025, Poggio Mirteto confirmed its opening appointment for the Christmas period, also included in the Lazio event calendars for the Immaculate Conception long weekend. The historic center hosted the Christmas Market stalls all day long, with antiques, crafts, and typical Sabina products.

Simultaneously, the Padellaccia Festival was held: at the stands set up in the square, padellaccia and polenta were served according to the peasant recipe that uses trimmings and less noble parts of the pig, cooked slowly in a large pan. The day was accompanied by music and Christmas carols and concluded with the lighting of the Christmas tree and the nativity scene, followed by a large audience that arrived from Rieti and Rome.
