Edition 2025 — Christmas in the Village

The 2025 edition of Natale nel Borgo in Capestrano, curated by the Pro Loco, took place from December 6th to January 6th with a rich calendar of events between the San Giovanni Convent and Piazza del Mercato. Highlights included Santa's House on December 14th, the torchlight horse procession on December 28th, and the Befana festival on January 6th.

Natale nel Borgo 2025 in Capestrano

The 2025 edition, organized by the Pro Loco Capestrano, brought the village to life from December 6th until Epiphany. The calendar combined culture, tradition, and entertainment in the town's historic center, in the province of L'Aquila.

  • December 6: Reading for children at the Oil Museum;
  • December 14: "Santa's House" at the San Giovanni Convent, organized by the Quattro Cani per Strada association, with activities for children and families;
  • December 28: At 4:30 PM, the torchlight procession on horseback "between the sacred and the profane," followed at 6:30 PM by a musical and theatrical performance with traditional instruments at the San Giovanni Convent;
  • January 6: "Jamm ca mo' cala la Befana" in Piazza del Mercato, the closing festival filled with joy and folk traditions.
