Christmas in the Village

The 2025-2026 edition of Christmas in the Village took place from December 7, 2025, to January 6, 2026, transforming the historic center of Campli into an open-air nativity scene. The calendar, curated by the Municipality of Campli, featured a mix of illuminations, entertainment for children with Santa's Enchanted Village, traditional bagpipe music, and the awards ceremony for the "Christmas as seen by children" competition in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele.

The heart of the festival was the 13th edition of the Living Nativity at the Capuchin Friars' Convent, which took place on December 28, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM: over ninety actors brought the scenes of the Nativity to life across a path of about two thousand square meters, amidst artisan workshops, traditional taverns, animals, travelers, and Roman centurions. The event, organized by the association Gli Amici del Convento APS with the Municipality of Campli and the BIM Consortium of Teramo, was free to attend.

December 7, 2025 — The Village Lights

Lighting of the illuminations and start of the festivities in the historic center of Campli.

During the holidays

• Santa's Enchanted Village — entertainment, games, elves, and fairies; Santa Claus distributes gifts and sweets to children.
• Bagpipe music through the village streets.
• "Christmas as seen by children" competition — awards ceremony and exhibition of school works in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele.
• Choral concerts at the Auditorium of Santa Maria degli Angeli ("Concerts in Italy's Most Beautiful Villages" circuit).

December 28, 2025, 4:30 PM–8:00 PM — Living Nativity (13th edition)

At the Capuchin Convent: over 90 actors, artisan workshops (blacksmith, weaver, apothecary, potter, candlemaker, chair caner), preparation of cheese, bread, and mulled wine, traditional taverns, shepherds with animals, travelers, Roman centurions, and the Nativity manger. Food stands with sausage sandwiches, fritters, hot chocolate, and traditional products. Free admission.

January 4–6, 2026 — Waiting for the Befana

Market and Epiphany celebrations in the village center.
