Edition 2025 — Christmas in Fano
Christmas 2025-2026: From Lapland to the Land of the Sea
The 2025-2026 edition, organized by the Municipality of Fano with Pro Loco, Confesercenti, and Confcommercio, proposed a new concept: a journey from the magic of Lapland to Fano's maritime identity. The Christmas lights were turned on November 15th, while the official inauguration took place on Saturday, November 29th, at the Pincio, at 5:00 PM, with the arrival of Santa Claus, the opening of the Christmas Village, and the ice skating rink against the backdrop of the Arch of Augustus.
On the same evening, the three Christmas trees were lit: in Corso Matteotti (5:30 PM), Piazza Marcolini (6:00 PM), and Piazza XX Settembre (6:30 PM), featuring the main tree. On Sunday, November 30th, at 5:00 PM, the nativity scene created by the Master Craftsmen of the Fano Carnival in papier-mâché was inaugurated in the former Church of San Francesco. Among the year's novelties was architectural videomapping on the historic center's monuments. The festivities concluded with New Year's Eve in the square on December 31st, with DJ sets and fireworks, and the Epiphany Festival on January 6th dedicated to children.
