Christmas in Taranto

The Christmas in Taranto 2025 program kicked off on November 22, 2025, with the switching on of the lights and the opening of the ice rink, continuing until January 6, 2026. Key highlights included: the Ferris wheel and rides in Piazza Garibaldi, the Christmas Village at the BAC, Christmas parades in the Paolo VI, Talsano, Tamburi, and Salinella neighborhoods, the descent of Santa Claus in Piazza Castello, and concerts by the Magna Grecia Orchestra at the Teatro Orfeo.

The musical programming, which was particularly rich, included gospel concerts in the Co-Cathedral, choirs and wind orchestras, traveling concerts in the districts on Christmas Eve, and major end-of-year and New Year's concerts with the Taranto Swing Festival. All major events were free to attend, with hundreds of parking spaces made available in the city center by the Municipality of Taranto.
