Christmas in Acireale

Christmas in Acireale 2025 kicked off on December 6 in Piazza Duomo with the lighting of the tree and the artistic Sicilian nativity scene. Throughout the period, Christmas markets, Santa's House, and artisanal panettone tastings enlivened the city in Piazza Garibaldi, while the "L'Incanto dei Presepi" trail wound through the churches.

Musical highlights included: the December 19 concert by the Teatro Massimo Bellini Choir of Catania in the Cathedral Basilica and the December 22 Gospel Concert in the Basilica of San Sebastiano. Christmas Eve featured the lighting of the traditional "U Zuccu" log in Piazza Duomo and, at night, a concert by the folk group I Beddi. The festivities concluded on January 6 with the 31st Historic Procession of the Three Kings and the arrival of the Magi from the sea in Santa Maria la Scala.
