Children's Carnival of Corridonia

A Carnival That Has Lasted Over Sixty Years

The Children's Carnival of Corridonia is one of the most deeply rooted events in the tradition of the Municipality of Corridonia, in the province of Macerata, in the heart of the Marche region. With its 65th edition in 2026, this festival has spanned over six decades of history, renewing itself year after year without losing its soul: that of a celebration designed first and foremost for children and families, capable of uniting the community in a day of colors, music, and fun.

Parade of Floats and Masked Groups

The heart of the event is the parade of allegorical floats and masked groups, which every year crosses the Piazzale Manlio Germozzi, chosen for its ideal layout to accommodate participants and spectators. The allegorical floats, created with care and imagination, come not only from Corridonia but also from other municipalities in the province and beyond, bringing creativity, humor, and a great desire for celebration to the square. Accompanying the parade are masked groups, schools, kindergartens, and local associations, in a grand procession that involves children and adults.

Entertainment and Activities for the Little Ones

In addition to the parade, the Corridonia Carnival offers a rich array of activities designed for families:

• Sweet stands and typical local specialties, from castagnole to frappe;
• Entertainment for children with music, dancing, and fun;
• An area dedicated to the little ones with rides and inflatables;
• The traditional confetti battle that colors the entire square.

A Community Celebration

Organized by the Municipality of Corridonia together with the "Mons. Raffaele Vita" Socio-Cultural and Recreational Center, the Children's Carnival is much more than a parade: it is a moment of gathering that, as local administrators recall, continues to unite the people of Corridonia and attract participants from neighboring towns. Its longevity—it is one of the oldest Carnival festivals in the Macerata area—makes it an identity-defining event for the territory, capable of renewing itself while preserving the popular and family spirit of its origins.
