Edition 2025 — Chigiana at the Chiostro di Torri

In the 2025 edition of the Chigiana International Festival, titled "Drifts" and scheduled from July 9 to September 2, the "Off the Wall" section brought great music to the villages and historic sites of the Sienese area. The piano duo of Lilya Zilberstein and Anton Gerzenberg performed in the Val di Merse, offering a wide-ranging program that combined Beethoven's Grosse Fuge, Op. 134, in a transcription for piano four-hands, with the complete twenty-one Hungarian Dances by Johannes Brahms.

The 2025 edition of the Chigiana International Festival, dedicated to the theme "Drifts", confirmed the vocation of the "Off the Wall" section to bring great music to the most evocative places in the province of Siena. Among the featured performers, the piano duo of Lilya Zilberstein and Anton Gerzenberg enchanted the audience with a program of great intensity.

The two pianists performed Ludwig van Beethoven's Grosse Fuge, Op. 134, in a transcription for piano four-hands, and the complete Hungarian Dances by Johannes Brahms: an evening of refined and overwhelming music, in the nocturnal setting of the villages and ancient towers of the Val di Merse. An appointment that reaffirmed the spirit of the Chigiana Festival: combining musical excellence with the beauty of the Sienese territory.
