Chianti Classico Marathon

The seventh edition of the Chianti Classico Marathon took place on Sunday, May 11, 2025, on the hills of Mercatale Val di Pesa (Florence), setting a record of over 1,400 participants from 44 countries. The three scheduled distances were the 53 km Ultra Trail, the 22 km Trail, and the 10 km Passo Libero. Among the protagonists, Emanuele Quercioli (Polisportiva Ellera) won the men's 53 km, and Chiara Vitale (Tricolore Sport Marathon) took first place among the women; in the 21.8 km Trail, victory went to Matteo Rossi of Orecchiella Garfagnana. Alessia Merz won the 3rd Sara Bartoli Memorial Trophy, while the award for the largest team went to the Cimavilla Running Team from Treviso. An edition that confirmed the strong international appeal of the race in the heart of the Chianti Classico region.
