Edition 2025 — Chianni Opera Festival

The ninth edition of the Chianni Opera Festival staged Giacomo Puccini's Madama Butterfly on June 28, 2025, in Piazza del Castello. Another great title of the Italian repertoire performed with a live orchestra in the natural theater of the Pisan village, under the direction of Maestro Gabriele Centorbi.

The 9th edition of the Chianni Opera Festival confirmed the festival's dedication to the great titles of Italian melodrama. On June 28, 2025, Piazza del Castello in Chianni once again transformed into an open-air theater to host Giacomo Puccini's Madama Butterfly.

On the podium was Maestro Gabriele Centorbi, with direction by Giancarlo Ceccarini, the festival's artistic director; in the role of Cio-Cio-San, soprano Cristina Ferri, accompanied by Alessandro Fantoni as Pinkerton. The edition confirmed the festival as a key summer event for opera in the Municipality of Chianni and the Province of Pisa.
