Chestnut Market Festival of Montemonaco

The 45th Chestnut Market Festival of Montemonaco was held on October 25th and 26th, 2025, in the historic center of the town, in the Province of Ascoli Piceno. As tradition dictates, the Sibillini Mountains village was filled with characteristic food stalls where one could taste chestnut cake, log cake, fried ravioli, chestnut skewers, and roasted chestnuts, accompanied by mulled wine.

Along the village streets, the open-air market offered fresh and dried chestnuts, flours, honey, truffles, and other typical products available for purchase directly from producers, while guided excursions in the chestnut groves, workshops for children, and the sound of the accordion enlivened the two days, confirming the festival as one of the most beloved autumn events in the area.
