Chestnut Festival

In 2025, the Chestnut Festival of Percile reached its forty-fourth edition, confirming the formula of a single day on a Sunday in late October. The stalls set up by the Pro Loco Percile opened at 12:30 PM with a menu entirely built around the forest fruit: soup with chestnut flour maltagliati, pork loin stewed with chestnuts, red apple and chestnut salad, rigatoni all'amatriciana, pork loin with chicory, and finally, chestnuts with dark chocolate drizzle, chili, and mint. There was no shortage of roasted chestnuts along the village streets.

The day also hosted an exhibition market of local products and crafts, as well as musical entertainment in the squares of the historic center. The novelty of the year was The Vintage Corner, a space for vintage items whose proceeds were donated to social projects. Many visitors combined the festival with a walk to the Lagustelli of Percile, the two karst lakes nestled in the woods of the Lucretili Mountains Park.
