Edition 2025 — Calizzano Chestnut

In 2025, the Chestnut Festival enlivened Calizzano with over fifty stands, the roasted chestnut competition, and the awarding of the 'Golden Chestnut'. The festival, a regular event on the third Sunday of October, attracted numerous visitors, confirming its status as one of Liguria's most renowned chestnut festivals.

The 2025 edition of the Calizzano Chestnut Festival upheld the tradition of the third Sunday in October. The upper Bormida Valley village was filled with stands dedicated to chestnuts and typical products, with the roasted chestnut competition and the awarding of the 'Golden Chestnut' taking centre stage. Organised by the Municipality and the Pro Loco, the festival celebrated the region's signature fruit, drawing visitors from across the region for one of the most cherished days of the Savona autumn.
