Edition 2025 — Chestnut Cycling Tour
2025 Edition
The 14th Chestnut Cycling Tour was held in Sante Marie (AQ) on Sunday, November 9, 2025, postponed from the originally scheduled date of October 26 due to adverse weather conditions. Organized by the Italian Sports Center of L'Aquila with the Municipality and the Pro Loco of Sante Marie, it offered family (approx. 18 km), base (28 km), and advanced (38 km) routes through the chestnut groves and ancient paths of Marsica.
The event, valid as the CSI National MTB Hiking Championship and the final stage of the 2025 CiclOtour Abruzzo Experience, saw the participation of hundreds of enthusiasts. Among the awarded teams were Piccolo Tibet L'Aquila, Bear Bike Avezzano, and Tagliacozzo Sport e Turismo di Montagna APS. The day concluded with the traditional celebratory pasta party.
