Edition 2025 — Chestnut and Törggelen Weeks

In October 2025, San Genesio Atesino renewed its appointment with the Kastanien- und Törggelewochen. Throughout the month, farmsteads and restaurants in the hamlets offered chestnuts and Törggelen menus, while guided hikes, traditional festivals, and the Keschtnpfonn gourmet market enlivened the plateau above Bolzano.

The 2025 edition of the Chestnut and Törggelen Weeks took place in San Genesio Atesino (Jenesien) throughout the month of October. As per tradition, the Tourist Board organized a calendar of events around the chestnut together with farmers and innkeepers: Törggelefest in the hamlets, guided hikes with tastings, the Keschtnpfonn gourmet market, and the gastronomic offerings of the farmsteads in Avigna, Cologna, and Valas. The event confirmed the deep connection of the municipality, which has the most chestnut trees in South Tyrol, with its autumn gastronomic tradition.
