Edition 2025 — Chestnut and Potato Festival

The 41st edition of the Valle Castellana Chestnut and Potato Festival took place on Saturday, November 1st, and Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, in the heart of the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park. Two days dedicated to mountain aromas and traditional flavors: marrons, roasted chestnuts, mountain potatoes, polenta, handmade gnocchi, and rustic Teramo dishes, accompanied by local markets, Abruzzese folk music, and dance evenings.

The 41st Chestnut and Potato Festival was held in Valle Castellana (Teramo) on Saturday, November 1st, and Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, organized by the Associazione La Valle. Food stalls opened at 11:00 AM, offering local marrons and mountain potatoes, along with roasted chestnuts, steaming polenta, handmade gnocchi, chickpeas, stews, and traditional desserts.

The village streets were enlivened by Abruzzese folk music, markets featuring local products and handicrafts, and a dance evening. On Sunday morning, a free ecological walk took place through beech and chestnut woods to admire the autumn foliage, while a free shuttle bus connected the parking areas to the festival center. Admission was free.
