Edition 2025 — Chestnut Festival

The 27th edition of the Chestnut and Autumn Flavors Festival took place on Saturday, October 25th and Sunday, October 26th, 2025, in San Salvatore di Fitalia, in the Nebrodi mountains. Two days dedicated to chestnuts and local products, with roasted chestnuts, soups, desserts, an exhibition-market of Nebrodi flavors, folk groups, guided tours, and trekking. The highlight was the concert by the band Il Giardino dei Semplici in Piazza San Calogero.

The 27th edition of the Chestnut and Autumn Flavors Festival was held on October 25-26, 2025, in San Salvatore di Fitalia (ME). For two days, the historic center came alive with stalls serving roasted chestnuts, chestnut soups, gelato, and chestnut flour crepes, alongside typical Nebrodi products: honey, hazelnuts, black pork, cheeses, and cured meats.

The program, organized by the Pro Loco with the support of the Municipality and the "Vincenzo Bellini" Band Association, included guided tours, trekking, folk groups, and storytellers. On Saturday evening, in Piazza San Calogero, the concert by the band Il Giardino dei Semplici drew a large crowd, marking one of the two Sicilian stops on their tour. Mayor Giuseppe Pizzolante expressed his satisfaction with the high turnout of visitors from all over Sicily.

Programme

Saturday, October 25: opening of food stalls and exhibition-market of local products, tastings of roasted chestnuts, soups, and chestnut-based desserts, entertainment with folk groups; 9:00 PM in Piazza San Calogero, concert by the band Il Giardino dei Semplici. Sunday, October 26: continuation of the festival with stalls, guided tours of the village, trekking, and musical entertainment.
