Edition 2025 — Chess 'ad Gredine'
The 'ad Gredine' international chess tournament in Ortisei, Val Gardena (province of Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige), did not have an edition in 2025. After the fourth edition in 2018 — which went down in history for the Grandmaster title earned in Ortisei by the twelve-year-old Indian prodigy Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa — the event remained on hold for several years.
The return of the event, organized by the Gardena Chess Association, was announced for 2026, with the fifth edition set for September 11-13 at the Luis Trenker Cultural Centre in Piazza Durich, Ortisei. Those looking for the most recent edition of the festival should therefore refer to the 2026 program.
