Cherry and Rose Festival

The 33rd edition of the Cherry and Rose Festival brought rural tradition back to Piazza San Vito in Macchia di Giarre, a hamlet of the Municipality of Giarre (Catania), at the end of June 2025. As is customary, the event showcased Etna cherries and their derivatives—jams, preserves, sweets, and liqueurs—alongside a fair of local products and artistic crafts.

The program included a cherry and rose exhibition, parades of characteristic Sicilian carts, performances by folk groups, and presentations of Sicilian folklore, all within a popular festival setting with free admission. The event confirmed its role as a highly anticipated summer appointment in the Ionian-Etna district of the province of Catania.
