Chase the Sun Italia

The 2025 edition of Chase the Sun Italia, the eighth, was held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, on the summer solstice. The non-competitive cycling tour started at 5:25 AM from the lighthouse of the Porto Canale in Cesenatico, Emilia-Romagna, with the sun rising behind the participants over the Adriatic.

The route of almost 280 kilometers crossed the Casentinesi Forests and followed the Arno River, passing through the art cities of Florence and Pisa, until the finish at Bagno Siria in Tirrenia, on the Pisan coast, between 6 PM and 10 PM, just as the sun dipped into the Tyrrhenian Sea. As per tradition, cyclists could tackle the challenge solo or in a three-person relay team, with the formula requiring at least one woman.
