Chariot Race

The 2025 edition of the Chariot Race took place from August 31 to September 8, with the usual sequence of events preceding the race: open cellars, religious events, and festive moments in the districts of Borgo and Piazza. The main challenge was held on September 8th, the patronal feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, with chariots pulled by the men of the two districts along the streets of Scheggia's historic center, in the Monte Cucco Park.

The main race between the Borgo and Piazza districts was held on September 8th, preceded in the preceding days by open cellars, religious events, and shows. In the morning, the drummers, the charioteers' breakfast, and the Holy Mass; in the afternoon, the chariot race and the award ceremony for the winning district.
