Chanto Elvo – Village Festival

The 2025 edition of Chanto Elvo was held on Sunday, June 22nd, in the hamlet of Elva, in the Upper Maira Valley. The festival began at 11:15 AM with Holy Mass at the Colle San Giovanni chapel, followed at noon by an aperitif accompanied by local singers at high altitude.

At 1:30 PM, the lunch at the Serre hamlet took place, organized by the Pro Loco of Elva "La Deseno". The afternoon was dedicated to singing performances by local groups and the traditional hand-mowing competition (Garo dal daj), one of the most anticipated moments. Throughout the day, a shuttle service was active between Stroppo and Elva to facilitate access to the mountain village.
