Edition 2025 — Chantar l'Uvèrn

In 2025, Chantar l'Uvèrn once again enlivened the winter of the Turin alpine valleys with its widespread festival dedicated to the Occitan, Franco-Provençal, and French minority languages. Between February and May, over thirty municipalities – including Exilles (TO) – hosted folk concerts, theatrical performances, conferences, book presentations, and workshops on the linguistic and historical heritage of the Cottian Alps.

The 2025 edition of Chantar l'Uvèrn took place according to the usual «from Candlemas to May 1st» formula, with a program spread across over thirty municipalities in the Turin valleys. The festival, promoted by the Protected Areas of the Cottian Alps with the Chambra d'Oc, proposed folk concerts, performances, anthropological conferences, book presentations, and language courses dedicated to Occitan, Franco-Provençal, and French traditions.

In Exilles, in the upper Susa Valley (Province of Turin), the events promoted the linguistic and historical memory of the territory, confirming the role of the village – dominated by its famous Fort – as one of the stages of the event.
