Edition 2025 — Certamen Ciceronianum
The 44th edition
From May 8 to 11, 2025, Arpino hosted the 44th edition of the Certamen Ciceronianum Arpinas, which recorded record-breaking numbers: over 321 people including students and chaperones, with 260 students competing from 13 nations and 18 Italian regions, from Piedmont to Sardinia.
The exam and winners
The translation and commentary exam took place on Friday, May 9, accompanied by the XIV Symposium Ciceronianum dedicated to 'The Thousand Faces of Ciceronian Oratory'. The awards ceremony, held in Piazza Municipio, was presented by Rai journalist Francesco Repice: the first prize was awarded to Marta Alberto, from the IIS 'Enrico Medi' in Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto (Messina).
