Edition 2025 — Ceriana Holy Week

In 2025, Ceriana renewed its age-old Holy Week rites: the four Confraternities animated Maundy Thursday and Good Friday with processions, a cappella chants, the Miserere, and bark horns, confirming the village as a guardian of one of Liguria's most ancient traditions.

Ceriana's Holy Week 2025, in the province of Imperia, reprised the ancient confraternal liturgy that characterizes the village. The Neri, Verdi, Rossi, and Azzurri led the faithful in torchlight processions, intoning penitential chants passed down for centuries and making the bark horns resound, an expression of a unique intangible heritage in the Imperia hinterland.
