Edition 2025 — Cerealia
Cerealia 2025: fifteen years of the festival
The fifteenth edition of Cerealia was held from September 20th to October 31st, 2025, with a title that well summarized the project's ambition: Flavors and knowledge of the Mediterranean: for sustainable nutrition between tradition, innovation, and inclusion. The international focus was on dialogue with Mediterranean Africa and the Middle East, with Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Jordan as reference countries.
The festival offered over forty events between Rome and seven Italian regions - Lazio, Sicily, Lombardy, Piedmont, Puglia, Calabria, and Basilicata -, organized into guided tours, excursions, tastings, conferences, family workshops, performances, and exhibitions. The opening took place on September 20th at Villa Falconieri, in Frascati, with an international meeting on the thirty years of the Barcelona Process.
For the fifteen-year anniversary, the Quirinale granted the festival the medal of the President of the Republic, a recognition of the cultural value of a project that unites archaeology, agriculture, and Mediterranean cooperation.
