Celio Stellato 2025

The inaugural edition of the festival took place in Rome from September 9th to October 2nd, 2025, transforming the garden of Celio Azzurro, with a view of the Palatine Hill, into an open-access cinema and culture arena.

The program featured twelve evening screenings at 8:30 PM, including Io e il Secco by Gianluca Santoni at the opening, The Old Oak by Ken Loach, Vittoria, Evil Does Not Exist by Ryūsuke Hamaguchi, All We Imagine As Light by Payal Kapadia, and The Beasts by Rodrigo Sorogoyen. The closing night on October 2nd was dedicated to the music documentary Fabi Silvestri Gazzè – Un passo alla volta.

In the afternoon, free workshops were held by reservation: one dedicated to environment and biodiversity for children aged 4 to 8, and another on cinematic language for teenagers aged 13 to 17, covering everything from screenwriting to post-production. The initiative, organized by Nightswim in collaboration with Celio Azzurro and Zia Rosetta, was born as a winning project of the Roma Creativa 365 public notice by Roma Capitale.
