Celebrazioni per la Festa di San Francesco, Patrono d'Italia

The 2025 edition of the Celebrations for the Feast of Saint Francis took place on October 3rd and 4th in the Basilicas of Assisi. On the evening of October 3rd, the city commemorated the Transit of the Saint, while on October 4th, pontifical masses were held with the offering of oil for the votive lamp, according to the tradition that sees a different Italian Region as the protagonist each year.

The days drew pilgrims, faithful, and institutional representatives to Assisi, confirming the Umbrian city's role as a spiritual reference point for the entire country and paving the way for the extraordinary centenary celebrations of 2026.
