Celebrations in Honor of Maria Santissima del Portosalvo

The 2025 edition of the celebrations in honor of Maria Santissima del Portosalvo in Giulianova, in the province of Teramo, took place from August 3 to 10, 2025. The week combined the spiritual and popular dimensions of the feast of the patron saint of sailors.

Among the most significant moments, on Monday, August 4, in Piazza Giovanni XXIII, Father Eugenio Nembrini, a priest from Bergamo and founder of the Quadratini & Carità association, shared his testimony. The artistic highlight arrived on Saturday, August 10, with the highly anticipated free concert by Edoardo Bennato in Piazza del Mare, which recorded a record crowd, followed by the fireworks display over the sea.

The traditional sea procession, with the statue of the Madonna embarked and escorted by boats along the coast, took place on August 11, symbolizing the protective bond with the maritime community. The return of the statue to the church on August 17 marked the conclusion of the devotional cycle.
